MANCHESTER, KY - The Manchester Police Department (MPD) is reporting that from Monday, May 22, 2023 until Sunday, June 4, 2023, MPD will be conducting road safety checkpoints throughout the city limits of Manchester.
According to MPD, the purpose of the checkpoints is to target :
- Driving impairment
- Seat belt usage
- Child safety seat enforcement
The safety checkpoints will be conducted at the following locations:
- U.S. Highway 421 near the Manchester Rental Center (formerly, CBS Building Supply)
- Greenbriar Road
- North U.S. Highway 421
- Highway 80 in city limits
- The intersection of Town Branch Road & Muddy Gap Road
These safety checkpoints are to maximize the safety of our motorists.
