Deputy Sheriff Caleb Conley Killed in Line of Duty on I-75 in Georgetown, Kentucky

GEORGETOWN, KY - The Officer Down Memorial Page is reporting that Deputy Sheriff Caleb Conley was shot and killed while conducting a traffic stop near mile marker 127 on southbound I-75 in Georgetown at about 4:45 P.M..

The subject fled the scene but was arrested a short time later. He has been charged with:

  • Murder of a police officer
  • Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
  • Burglary
  • Theft of an automobile
  • Wanton endangerment
  • Fleeing/evading police

Deputy Conley was a U.S. Army veteran and had served with the Scott County Sheriff's Office for four years. He is survived by his wife, children, and parents.
