LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Gerline Cox age 70 of Williamsburg on Wednesday afternoon August 2, 2023 at approximately 3:00 AM.
The arrest occurred on South Laurel Rd., in London after Deputy Houston was dispatched to observe for a black Ford Mustang allegedly driving recklessly.
Deputy Houston located the suspect vehicle and observed the vehicle weaving on the roadway.
A traffic stop was conducted and it was learned through investigation that the occupant was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Gerline Cox was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Terroristic threatening – third-degree
- Resisting arrest
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
