LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root and London City Police Chief Chuck Johnson announce that: Margaret A. Sanderson age 40 of Cherry Ave., Corbin, KY was arrested on Sunday morning September 10, 2023 at approximately 4:17 AM.
The arrest occurred off Robert E. Cox Road, approximately 12 miles South of London after this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court complaint warrant of arrest obtained as a result of a Laurel County Drug Interdiction Task Force investigation regarding a quantity of Methamphetamine being delivered to a business parking lot in southern Laurel County.
Task force members observed the suspect vehicle entering the parking lot and conducted a traffic stop and found Margaret Sanderson in possession of:
- A large amount of suspected Methamphetamine
- Digital scales
The warrant charges:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court complaint warrant of arrest charging:
- Theft by unlawful taking
Also:
- This subject was charged on a Laurel District Court complaint warrant of arrest obtained by task force members after an investigation at a traffic safety checkpoint where this individual was found in possession of suspected Methamphetamine.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
