Subject tells Police what Drugs He'd taken, then Creates a Ruckus inside Cruiser during Arrest in Laurel County, Kentucky

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's shift Sgt. Travis Napier along with Deputy Skylar McFarland arrested Dylan Scott Southerland age 31 of Upper Indian Camp Rd., London on Tuesday night September 19, 2023 at approximately 11:59 PM.

The arrest occurred off D Anders Road, approximately 6 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a suspicious person in a white truck pulling a box trailer that had allegedly pulled onto someone's property.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they located an individual walking around the vehicle and noted that upon investigation determined that he was under the influence, this individual stated he had taken Suboxone and used meth earlier.

Upon arrest this individual was found with a quantity of different pills in a bag in his possession.

Upon being placed in the police cruiser this individual began screaming and cursing and creating a disturbance and headbutting the protective screen in the cruiser.

This subject told deputies that if he had knew he was going to be arrested that he would have run.

Dylan Scott Sutherland was charged with:

  • Public intoxication – controlled substances
  • Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense
  • Disorderly conduct – second-degree

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
