FRANKFORT, KY (October 12, 2023) – Attorney General Daniel Cameron joined local officials in Benton for the grand opening of his West Kentucky Field Office.
Since 2019, Attorney General Cameron has established four new regional offices to serve Kentuckians more directly and to support law enforcement throughout the Commonwealth.
"For too long, Kentuckians have had to come all the way to Frankfort for the services they need," said Attorney General Cameron. "This office in Benton illustrates my commitment to changing that and serving the people of West Kentucky where they are. I look forward to the good work we'll do together."
Attorney General Cameron remains the only statewide elected official with a physical presence in West Kentucky. The new field office will be staffed by representatives of both the Criminal and Civil Divisions of the Attorney General's office.
"Nobody has fought harder or secured more important victories for West Kentucky than Attorney General Cameron," said State Representative Chris Freeland, who represents Benton. "I'm grateful that he has made communities like Benton a priority when others refused to do so."
"I welcome Attorney General Cameron and his entire team to the heart of Western Kentucky," said Senator Danny Carroll (R-Benton) District 2 and co-chair of the Interim Joint Committee on Families and Children. "The state attorney general's presence says much about his commitment to Benton and the surrounding region. I am confident this field office will enhance our residents' safety against unsavory criminal elements."
"It's easy to deliver a speech from behind a lectern in Frankfort," said Marshall County Judge Executive Kevin Spraggs. "But meeting people where they are—that's real public service. And there's no better example of that than Attorney General Cameron and this office."
