KSP Troopers Asking Public for Assistance with Identity Theft Case in Paducah, Kentucky

PADUCAH, KY – According to the Kentucky State (KSP), troopers from KSP Post 1, Mayfield are asking for assistance in identifying a woman suspected of using a stolen identity in Paducah.

On Wednesday, September 8th, 2023 an unknown female accompanied by a young child entered Wal-Mart on Irvin Cobb Drive in Paducah.

She approached the Verizon Wireless kiosk where she produced a fraudulent Ohio driver’s license and provided account details belonging to another Verizon customer to obtain a new cellular phone.

The new cellular device obtained by the fraudulent identity was valued at over $500.

The victim discovered she was the victim of identity theft several weeks later and notified Kentucky State Police.

Anyone who can provide information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Kentucky State Police, Post 1, at 270-856-3721.
