Recognition of Laurel County's First Reponders Day at Keavy Elementary School in Keavy, Kentucky

KEAVY, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that on Friday, November 10, 2023, London Police Sgt. Troy Truett and Laurel SRO Deputy Charlie Johnson were recognized by the students and staff of Keavy Elementary School on their "Recognition of Laurel County's First Reponders Day."

LPD Sgt. Truett and LSO Laurel Deputy Johnson spoke with the children about their profession, and answered questtions.

Keavy Elementary School is a highly rated, public school located off Highway 312 in Keavy, Laurel County, KY. The school serves approximately 265 students in grades Pre-kindergarten through 5.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root stated it was an honor for his deputy to attend this First Responders Recognition Day.
