LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Amy N. Couch age 38 of London on Thursday morning November 16, 2023 at approximately 9:19 AM.
The arrest occurred in a business parking lot off Highway 80 (East Laurel Road), approximately 8 miles east of London after Deputy Houston was dispatched to a complaint of a female apparently passed out in a white SUV behind the wheel, engine running.
When Deputy Houston arrived at the scene, he located a white SUV on the side of the parking lot resting against a tree and other debris and noted that the engine was running and that a female driver was slumped over to the side and appeared to be passed out.
After several attempts by Deputy Houston to awaken the driver, an investigation was conducted and the driver was determined to be under the influence.
Amy Couch was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
