BARBOURVILLE, KY - On Thursday, November 16, 2023, Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith announced a major illegal drug bust and the seizure of a large quantity of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine in the Corbin area of Knox County.
According to the Knox County, Ky Sheriff's Department Facebook page, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, Knox County Deputy Jesse Smith, while working with members of the Laurel County Drug Interdiction Task Force, arrested two individuals of Corbin and London, KY after the large quantity of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine was found in their possession.
Neither the names of the two arrested individuals or their charges were released in the report on Facebook.

However, according to a SaM 103.9 report by Dave Begley on Friday, November 17, 2023, the two arrested suspects were identified as Jesse George, age 50 of Corbin, and Tony Ison, age 44 of London.
