LONDON, KY - The London Police Department is reporting that: On Friday, January 5, 2024 at approximately 9:01 P.M., London PD Officer Coty Arnold arrested Tara Higgins, age 45 of London, KY.
Officer Arnold observed a vehicle on N U.S. 25 having an equipment violation and conducted a traffic stop.
Upon contact with the operator, identified as Tara Higgins, age 45 of London, KY, Officer Arnold noticed a strong odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle and that Higgins had glossy eyes and dilated pupils.
Officer Arnold had Higgins complete Standard Field Sobriety Tests, and upon completion, determined that she was under the influence and placed her under arrest.
Higgins was arrested without incident and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Tara Higgins was charged with:
- Operating Motor Vehicle U/Influence of Substance - 1st Offense
- Other minor traffic/equipment violations
