HUGE PENALTY ADDED TO UNPAID PROPERTY TAX BILLS IN CLAY COUNTY, KENTUCKY AFTER WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31, 2024

ATTENTION PROPERTY OWNERS

MANCHESTER, KY - The Clay County Sheriff's Office is reporting that property owners in Clay County, KY with unpaid property taxes will see a significant increase in the amount they owe on Thursday, February 1st., 2024.

Effective, beginning Thursday, February 1st., 2024, outstanding property tax bills not settled on Wednesday, January 31st. will have a 21% penalty added to the amount owed. 

The Clay County Sheriff's Office hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday-Friday.

Payment methods accepted are: 

  • Cash
  • Check
  • Money orders

Clay County citizens can see how much they owe by visiting the Sheriff's Department HERE then click on VIEW PROPERTY TAX BILL and enter the required information.
