ARREST IN SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY AFTER FOUR-YEAR-OLD CHILD TESTS POSITIVE FOR METHAMPHETAMINE AND OTHER NARCOTICS

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Taylor McDaniel (case officer) along with Capt. Richard Dalrymple and Detective Hunter Disney arrested Jamie Setser, age-38 of London on Thursday afternoon February 1, 2024 at approximately 4:56 PM.

The arrest occurred off Old Salem Road, approximately 5 miles east of London following an investigation conducted by the Laurel County Sheriff's office after it was determined that Setser allegedly exposed a four-year-old child to Methamphetamine causing the child to test positive for Methamphetamine, the child also tested positive for other Narcotics.

Jamie Setser was charged with:

  • Criminal abuse – first-degree – Child 12 or Under

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
