U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY)

U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell Comments on President Biden's State of the Union Address and Senator Britt's Response

Republicans are for freedom and for families. Biden and Democrats are for government control. Over and over, on issue after issue, this President has handed the car keys to the radical left and turned himself into a passenger.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) made the following comments Thursday night following President Joe Biden's State of the Union Address:

"Well given his performance, he did the best he could to try to explain a very bad record. Forty-year high inflation. A wide-open southern border. It's hard to find anything President Biden could say he accomplished other than spending a huge amount of money and running up the national debt. It was a tough sell and he couldn't make it."

Reaction to U.S. Senator Katie Britt's (R-AL) Republican Address to the Nation:

"The youngest Republican woman to ever serve in the Senate, smart, capable, and by delivering the message from her house, she was able to identify the problems that everyday families have in trying to put food on the table, trying to afford gasoline, and all the rest. She did a fabulous job."
