Three Subjects Arrested off Old KY 30 in Laurel County, KY when Police discover 2 of the 3 had Outstanding Warrants and 2 of the 3 were found with Illegal Drugs/Paraphernalia

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Taylor McDaniel along with Capt. Chris Edwards, Deputy Tommy Houston, and Deputy Keith Dinsmore arrested three individuals on Tuesday morning March 12, 2024 at approximately 11:58 AM.

The arrests occurred off old KY 30 approximately 5 miles north of London after two of the three individuals were determined to have outstanding warrants. In addition, two of the three individuals were found in possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The three arrested individuals were identified as: Brian Harris age 43 of old KY 30, East Bernstadt, KY,  George Lewis, Jr. age 56 of Highway 1228, East Bernstadt, KY and George Lewis lll age 35 of Highway 1228, East Bernstadt, KY.

Brian Harris was charged with:

  • Giving officer false identifying information – This subject gave deputies an incorrect Social Security number because he knew he had an outstanding warrant.

In addition, this individual was charged on a Laurel Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging probation violation regarding charges of:

  • receiving stolen property under $10,000

George Lewis, JR was charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia – This individual was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and a hypodermic needle.

George Lewis lll was charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – second-degree
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia – This individual was found in possession of capsules and a glass Meth pipe.

In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court complaint warrant of arrest charging:

  • Assault – 4th degree

These three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
