LONDON, KY - The London Police Department (LPD) reports that on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at approximately 6:46 PM, Officer Jared Hale arrested Latricia C. Jenkins, age 43 of London, KY.
LPD Officer Jared Hale responded to a traffic stop to assist another officer.
While on the traffic stop, Officer Hale learned that the operator, identified as Jenkins, used the wrong lane while turning and her registration was expired.
He also noted that the subject appeared under the influence and was very lethargic.
Officer Hale asked Jenkins to undergo Standard Field Sobriety Tests, and upon completion, determined that Jenkins was under the influence, this individual was placed under arrest without incident and later lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Latricia Jenkins was charged with:
- Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence of a Substance - 2nd Offense
- Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operator's License
- Failure of Non-owner Operator to Maintain Required Insurance/Security 1st Offense
- Improper Turning, and other minor traffic related offenses
