DOUGLASVILLE, GEORGIA PEDESTRAIN KILLED IN CRASH ON HIGHWAY 99E IN CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OREGON

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR - The Oregon State Police reports that on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11:55 p.m., OSP responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Hwy-99E, at the intersection with SE Maple St, in Clackamas County.

The preliminary investigation indicated a northbound Volkswagen Passat, operated by Alex Petrovskiy (43) of Milwaukie, struck a pedestrian, Krishan Patel (36) of Douglasville (GA), who was in the fast lane. 

The pedestrian (Patel) was declared deceased at the scene.

The Volkswagen operator (Petrovskiy) was not injured.

The highway was impacted for approximately 2.5 hours during the on-scene investigation. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

OSP was assisted by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Clackamas Fire, and ODOT.
