Fatal Collision Involving a Pedestrian in Estill County, Kentucky

RAVENNA, KY – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, was contacted just before 11:30 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2024, in reference to a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Main Street in Estill County.

The initial investigation indicates a 2003 Chevy Silverado operated by a Juvenile, who was traveling east on Main Street when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center line, and struck a pedestrian, Christopher Lemaster, 34, of Irvine, who was walking west on the roadway. 

As a result of the collision, Mr. Lemaster was transported to the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by Fayette County Deputy Coroner John Mccarty. The Juvenile was not injured in the collision.

The ongoing collision investigation is being conducted by Trooper Robert Baker. He was assisted on the scene by Kentucky State Police personnel, and Estill County EMS.
