ARREST: STUMBLING MAN FROM CORBIN, KY WITH SLURRED SPEECH AND GLOSSY EYES ATTEMPTS TO ASSAULT DEPUTIES AT COMPLAINT SCENE IN LAUREL COUNTY

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested Rodney Vineyard age 43 of Corbin on Friday night April 5, 2024 at approximately 11:17 PM.

LSO logo Blackand Gold 200The arrest occurred off Cardinal Drive, approximately 10 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a male subject attempting to punch out the window of a residence there and threatening to kill a female, there, too.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies learned that this individual had driven to the residence in a black Chevrolet Colorado.

Deputies noted that this individual was stumbling and had slurred speech and glossy eyes and was determined by officers to be under the influence.

Upon arrest this individual briefly struggled with deputies before being taken into custody.

Rodney Vineyard was charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense
  • Resisting arrest
  • Disorderly conduct – second-degree
  • Menacing
  • Attempted assault – third-degree – police officer is victim – non-communicable body fluids
  • Driving on a DUI suspended license – first offense
  • Possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
