Treston C. Webb (Laurel County Detention Center)

MULTI COUNTY PURSUIT BEGINNING IN LONDON, KY ENDS WITH CAPTURE OF SPORT BIKE RIDER IN OWLSEY COUNTY

LONDON, KY - The London Police Department is reporting that: On Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at approximately 1:08 am, Officer Mikey Ashurst arrested Treston C. Webb, age 20 of London, KY.

While on routine patrol, Officer Ashurst was conducting stationary radar when he observed a red Sport Bike approaching his position at over 100 mph. Officer Ashurst activated his emergency equipment in an attempt to stop the operator, later identified as Webb.

After observing Officer Ashurst behind him, Webb took off at a high rate of speed in an attempt to elude Officer Ashurst.

Officer Ashurst continued to pursue Webb, who continued to drive in a reckless manner and at an excessive speed, through Jackson County and on into Owlsey County. Webb then ran off the side of the road where he was taken into custody after a brief struggle.

Treston Webb was later lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Treston Webb was charged with:

  • Speeding 26 mph or >
  • Fleeing or Evading Police - 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
  • Reckless Driving
  • Driving DUI Suspended License - 1st Offense (Aggravating Circumstance)
  • Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree
  • No Motorcycle Operator's License
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Failure to Register Transfer of Motor Vehicle.

Officer Ashurst was assisted on scene by Sgt. Wade Mitchell, Corporal Ben Webb and Officer Coty Arnold. The London Police Department was also assisted on scene by the Kentucky State Police and Jackson County Sheriff's Office
