LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested Jacob Jones age 33 of East Bernstadt on Saturday night March 30, 2024 at approximately 7:54 PM.
The arrest occurred on U.S. 25 approximately 8 miles north of London after Deputy Roberts was dispatched to a single vehicle traffic crash there.
Upon arrival at the scene, Deputy Roberts conducted an investigation on the driver of a silver Pontiac Montana and noted detecting a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the driver.
Following investigation, the driver, Jacob Jones was determined to be under the influence.
Jacob Jones was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
- Possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
