DRUG ARREST OF MAN WANTED ON WARRANTS IN BELL AND WHITLEY COUNTY AFTER STOP FOR TRAFFIC VIOLATION IN LAUREL, CO., KY

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested James William Cody Lambdin age 26 of Earl Howard Rd., Keavy early Sunday morning April 14, 2024 at approximately 12:01 AM.

LSO logo Blackand Gold 200The arrest occurred on South Stewart Rd., approximately 10 miles South of London after Deputy Roberts conducted a traffic stop on a green colored Honda motorcycle that failed to signal a turn.

During the traffic stop, the license plates were determined to belong on a different motorcycle and the renewal sticker was also determined to be registered to another motorcycle.

It was also learned that the driver was operating on a DUI suspended license.

During the continuing investigation the driver was determined to be under the influence and upon arrest was found in possession of a clear crystal substance believed to be Methamphetamine.

Also, it was determined that this individual was wanted on two outstanding warrants.

James Lambdin was charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense
  • Driving on a DUI suspended license – first offense
  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Failure to signal
  • Improper display of registration plates
  • Failure of owner to maintain required insurance – first offense
  • No registration plates

In addition, this subject was charged on two outstanding bench warrants, one from Bell County, KY and one from Whitley County, KY

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
