LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Cyruss McVey along with Deputy Zach Allen and K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler arrested David Casteel age 22 of East Bernstadt on Wednesday afternoon May 1, 2024 at approximately 4:22 PM.
The arrest occurred off Walter Eversole Road, approximately 8 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to an alleged assault complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies conducted an investigation and learned that allegedly a verbal argument apparently resulted in David Casteel pushing a female into the wall and back porch of the residence.
David Casteel was charged with:
- Assault – 4th degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
