LSO AND LPD TEAMWORK RESULT IN CAPTURE OF TEENAGE DUO DURING INVESTIGATION OF A POSSIBLE BURGLARY COMPLAINT IN LONDON, KY

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root, and London Police Chief Chuck Johnson are reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Cyruss McVey along with London City Police Officer Jared Hale arrested 2 individuals on Wednesday evening May 1, 2024 at approximately 7:14 PM.

LSO LPD both logos 200 wideThe arrests occurred off Slate Lick Road, in London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a possible burglary at a residence on Slate Lick Road in London.

While enroute to the scene it was learned that a homeowner next door had overheard glass breakage from the house next door and confronted the individuals who fled on foot.

While in the vicinity of the original complaint, investigators located 2 individuals matching the description given by the next-door neighbor.

An investigation was conducted and it was determined that these individuals had apparently been involved in the vandalism of the residence.

Investigation determined that individuals entered the residence unlawfully and used a baseball bat and a metal bar to break out the back windows of the home, and windows in the kitchen before fleeing the scene.

The baseball bat and metal bar were located by Officer Hale in a ditch nearby on Little Pittsburg Road.

Arrested By Deputy McVey was: Connor Lee Wayne Patterson, age 18 charged with:

  • Criminal mischief – first-degree
  • Criminal trespassing – second-degree

Arrested by Officer Hale was: Jesse D. Jones age 18 of London charged with:

  • Criminal mischief – first-degree
  • Criminal trespassing – second-degree

These individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
