Stolen vehicle found burned in Clay County

Clay County, KY -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on June 10, 2019 at approximately 6:30 AM Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones and Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards were dispatched to a complaint of a stolen vehicle on Gregory Branch Road.

After taking the initial report, Chief Deputy Jones and Deputy Edwards patrolled the Horse Creek community while observing for the stolen vehicle.

Chief Deputy Jones and Deputy Edwards located the vehicle alongside the road on Jarvis Branch, the vehicle had been set on fire.

Through running the registration plates on the vehicle it was confirmed with Clay County Dispatch that this was the reported stolen vehicle earlier this date.
