LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: 7 local women graduated the Women’s Self Defense Class hosted by the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office at the London/Laurel County Rescue Squad by Special Deputy Elizabeth Sparks on Saturday July 20, 2019. This class is conducted free of charge and is Nationally Recognized.
Sheriff Root stresses that it is our goal at the Laurel County Sheriff's Office to make area female citizens more aware of their surroundings, and to provide some preventative safety measures that can be utilized along with some basic self defense that can be deployed in the unlikely event of an attack.
