Laurel Deputies to showcase newest vehicles at World Chicken Festival

LONDON, KY (Sept. 28, 2019) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: The Laurel County Sheriff's office has an informational booth in front of the Laurel County Courthouse at the annual World Chicken Festival in downtown London this weekend September 26 through September 29.

Staff present at the booth will include Laurel County Sheriff John Root, Deputy Gilbert acciardo, court security officer Dennis Gilbert, and special deputy Elizabeth Sparks.

If anyone has any questions, comments,or tips they would like to provide concerning any illegal activity in Laurel County including drug tips – citizens may leave this information with on-duty personnel at the booth.

In addition, Laurel County Sheriff's deputies will be assisting London City Police as they patrol the festival area. Deputies can be easily spotted in their Sheriff's deputies uniforms highlighted by the traditional campaign hat worn by Sheriff's deputies.

On Saturday Laurel County Sheriff's deputies will be showcasing their newest police vehicles including Dodge charger's, Dodge ram pickups, and K-9 Durango SUVs as they assist London City Police in escorting the world chicken festival parade through downtown London.

Also assisting in the downtown area is Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County.
