Jason Lindsey, aka "Mr. Science," to visit Clay & Leslie County, Kentucky

LEXINGTON, KY  – ABC 36, Kentucky Out-of-School Alliance, Kentucky 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Thames & Kosmos, and Hooked on Science are partnering to make sure kids have access to hands-on science this school year. In September, Jason Lindsey, aka "Mr. Science," with Hooked on Science, will visit communities, in Kentucky, where kids are struggling due to poverty and the lack of access to the internet, giving away science kits.

On Thursday, September 3rd, "Mr. Science" will travel Clay County where, according to PolicyMap, 33% of the families are in poverty and 28% of the households are without internet.

On Thursday, September 10th, "Mr. Science" will travel Leslie County where, according to PolicyMap, 27% of the families are in poverty and 30% of the households are without internet.
