KENTUCKY SECRETARY OF STATE MICHAEL ADAMS TO CO-CHAIR NATIONAL BUSINESS ISSUES COMMITTEE

Appointment Highlights Adams’ Commitment to Serving Kentucky Job Creators

FRANKFORT, KY (September 23, 2021) – Secretary of State Michael Adams (R-Kentucky) has been tapped by his colleagues in the National Association of Secretaries of State to co-chair its Business Services Committee, along with Secretary of State Shenna Bellows (D-Maine).

“Just as I’ve worked across party lines to make it easy to vote and hard to cheat, I’ll work with Democrats and Republicans to improve the business climate,” Adams said. “As a small businessperson myself, I know the challenges our job creators face, and I’ll both share and learn best practices to promote and enable entrepreneurship.”

The Business Services Committee keeps Secretaries of State informed – and helps them inform the public – about current business issues such as electronic filings, corporate registrations, notarizations, business identity theft and other scams. Kentucky’s Secretary of State is the Commonwealth’s chief business official, as well as its chief election official.
