Kentucky State Police Investigates Death of Two Breathitt County Women

LOST CREEK, KY – The Kentucky State Police is reporting that on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at approximately 9:57 P.M, KSP Post 13, Hazard, received a call in reference to two females being located deceased in a residence on Mcintosh Road, located in the Lost Creek community of Breathitt County.

Trooper’s responded to the residence and located Brenda Mullins, 77 of Jackson and Sharon White, 76 of Lost Creek deceased inside the residence.

The initial investigation indicates that one of the victims started a vehicle parked in the garage below the residence, causing both victims to succumb to carbon monoxide poisoning.

Mullins and White were pronounced deceased on scene by the Breathitt County Coroner’s Office.

Both victims are scheduled for an autopsy, no foul play is suspected at this time.

This incident remains under investigation by Trooper Dustin Ballard.
