LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Reed along with Deputy Zach Strong arrested Joshua Bryant, age 39 of London on Saturday evening April 12, 2025 at approximately 5:07 PM.
The arrest occurred off Maplesville Road at a residence approximately 5 miles east of London after deputies were dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a complaint of a subject with a gun. In addition, the complainant advised dispatch she heard several shots inside the residence after she left to call 911 from a neighbor's house.
When deputies arrived at the scene they learned that the complainant had been in the home when a male subject inside the residence fired a round from a .357 revolver in her vicinity. In addition, this individual had apparently fired numerous rounds in the hallway toward the back of the home.
Deputies attempted to summon the subject inside the residence however were unsuccessful. Deputies received permission from the home owner to make entry and found the suspect lying facedown and passed out apparently from drinking alcoholic beverages earlier.
A loaded firearm was found underneath the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Joshua Bryant was charged with:
- Wanton endangerment – first-degree
- Criminal mischief – first-degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
