NARCOTICS FROM ONGOING ROBBERY INVESTIGATION IN BOYLE CO. LOCATED IN BRODHEAD, KY

DANVILLE, KY - The Danville Police Department is reporting an update in the investigation of a robbery that took place in Danville, KY, on April 24th. where a quantity of controlled narcotics was taken.

UPDATE: On the morning of Saturday, May 3rd, a citizen discovered a black backpack containing several pill bottles just off the roadside in Brodhead, KY.

The citizen promptly delivered the backpack and its contents to the Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office.

With the cooperation of the DEA, the Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office successfully transferred the evidence to the Danville Police Department.

Investigators from both the Danville Police and DEA confirmed that the narcotics found in the backpack were indeed among the items stolen during the robbery.

In total, over 2,300 pills of various controlled narcotics were recovered, aiding the ongoing investigation.

The Danville Police Department extends its sincere gratitude to the honorable citizen, the Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office, and the DEA for their collaborative efforts in recovering these stolen narcotics.
