CAPTURED: Allegedly Armed Parole Violator with Multiple Warrants Arrested after Search off Bill Creech Rd. in Laurel Co., KY

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's shift Sgt. Allen Turner arrested Curtis Brewer, age 46 of Ridgewood Dr., London on Monday night May 26, 2025 at approximately 9:46 PM.

The arrest occurred off Bill Creech Road, approximately 9 miles northeast of London after deputies were dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a complaint of a male subject shooting a gun and creating a disturbance off Long Branch Road.

When deputies arrived in the vicinity of the complaint they observed the male suspect who began to flee on foot upon seeing deputies and fled into a densely wooded area.

Sgt. Turner gave multiple commands for the subject to stop fleeing however he continued traveling into a creek and was located a short time later laying in the creek attempting to hide. He was taken into custody without further incident.

Curtis Brewer was charged with:

  • Fleeing or evading police – second-degree – on foot

In addition, this subject was charged on a Kentucky Parole Board parole violation warrant charging absconding parole supervision and failure to report to parole officer as directed regarding a conviction in Knox Circuit Court on charges of:

  • Burglary – first-degree
  • Two counts of burglary – third-degree
  • Theft by unlawful taking
  • Criminal mischief – first-degree
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Receiving stolen property

In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court complaint warrant of arrest obtained by KSP Trooper Joseph Mallory charging:

  • Theft by unlawful taking $10,000 or more but under $1 million regarding the alleged theft of a Peterbilt semi tractor taken from a business in London.

Also, the subject was charged on a Clay District Court complaint warrant of arrest obtained by Clay County Sheriff's Deputy Walter Marker charging

  • Receiving stolen property $10,000 or more regarding his alleged illegal possession of a 2020 Peterbilt semitruck.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
