LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen arrested James Chadwell, age 45 of Laurel Lake Rd., London on Tuesday night May 27, 2025 at approximately 9:00 PM.
The arrest occurred on Keavy Road, approximately 2 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a complaint that a male subject driving his vehicle was shooting in the direction of a vehicle behind him.
The victim driver was able to stay on the phone with 911 dispatch until deputies arrived at a location near the roundabout on KY 363 where a traffic stop was conducted on the suspect vehicle being driven by James Chadwell.
During deputies investigation two firearms and seven loaded magazines were located inside the accused vehicle.
No damage was found on the victim’s vehicle that was occupied by 2 individuals.
James Chadwell was charged with:
- Two counts of wanton endangerment – first-degree – discharge of a firearm
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
