MANCHESTER, KY - The Manchester Police Department is reporting that: On Thursday, June 12, 2025, Officer Jared Smith and Asst. Chief Antonio Dodson were dispatched to Redmond Chevrolet car dealership on a complaint of a vehicle that was being test driven by a female and was never returned to the dealership.
After an investigation the Officers located the vehicle on Granny’s Branch Road. Upon the Officers arrival they discovered that a fake registration plate had been put on the vehicle and male subject was in the process of removing parts from the vehicle.
Two suspects identified as, Christian McNeal age 30 of Manchester, KY and Loretta Smith, age 59 of Manchester, KY were arrested during the investigation and transported to the Clay County Detention Center.
Christian McNeal is charged with:
- TBUT OR DISP ALL OTHERS $1,000 < $10,000
- NON-PAYMENT OF COURT COSTS, FEES OR FINES
- TBUT OR DISP AUTO $10,000 < $1,000,000
Loretta Smith is charged with:
- TBUT OR DISP AUTO $10,000 < $1,000,000
Both individuals were lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
