ARREST IN CLAY CO., KY AFTER DEPUTIES RESPOND TO CALL IN REFERENCE TO MALE SELLING DRUGS

MANCHESTER, KY – According to a report from Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson, on June 18, 2025, Deputy Jordan Duncil and Deputy Sgt. Wes Brumley responded to a call regarding a male, identified as Donald Martin, allegedly selling drugs and possessing a firearm.

Upon arrival, Deputy Duncil met with Kentucky State Trooper Dennis, who inquired if Martin had any firearms in the residence. Martin provided a pistol located in a dresser beside the bed. After obtaining consent to search the home, Deputy Brumley and Trooper Dennis discovered two additional pistols and three long guns in a safe in the bedroom. Deputy Duncil was informed that Martin, a convicted felon, was prohibited from possessing firearms. Donald Martin, age 56, of Oneida, KY was subsequently arrested and transported to the Clay County Detention Center.

Donald Martin was charged with:

  • POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON
  • POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON

Martin remains in custody at the Clay County Detention Center pending further legal proceedings.
