SOMERSET, KY - Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the arrest of a Somerset man in connection with the shooting on the evening of June 4, 2025 in Science Hill.
Nathanael Clark, 37, was arrested without incident on Monday, June 16, and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
On Wednesday evening June 4, 2025 Deputies responded to the report of a gunshot victim in the city limits of Science Hill. Upon Deputies’ arrival, they learned that Gregory Howe, 58, had been injured during the shooting.
Due to the nature of the incident, the Criminal Investigation Division for the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and is continuing the investigation. Detectives learned that several bystanders were also present at the location of the shooting.
Several minutes following the shooting incident, deputies received a report of a motorcycle that was found in the roadway approximately one to two miles from the scene. It is unclear whether the motorcycle found in the roadway is connected to the shooting, and detectives are still working to determine that.
Mr. Howe was initially flown from the scene via medivac due to his injuries. He was released from the hospital several days later.
Clark was taken into custody in the 2800 block of Palumbo Drive in Lexington, Kentucky by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service - Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force.
Clark has been charged with one count of Attempted Murder and eleven counts of Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree.
He is currently being held on a $500,000 cash bond.

Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the shooting of a Pulaski County citizen on the evening of June 4, 2025.
Deputies initially responded to the report of a gunshot victim in the city limits of Science Hill. Upon Deputies’ arrival, they learned that a Pulaski County man had been injured during the shooting. He was transported for medical treatment due to his injuries.
Due to the nature of the incident, the Criminal Investigation Division for the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. Sheriff Jones wants to advise the public that this is believed to be an isolated incident.
The investigation is still in an early phase and Detectives are still currently working to determine what happened during the shooting.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Somerset Police Department, Somerset/Pulaski EMS, Science Hill Fire Department, the Pulaski County Special Response Team, and the Kentucky State Police.
The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
