LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Robert Smith arrested Keith Lay, age 47, of London on Friday afternoon June 27, 2025 at approximately 3:33 PM.
The arrest occurred on Bray Road approximately 2 miles west of London after Keith Lay was observed in a red Chevrolet Impala crossways in the middle of the roadway.
During the resulting investigation it was determined that Keith Lay had an outstanding warrant. Also, Deputy Smith located the driver in possession of a meth pipe and a small clear plastic bag containing suspected crystal methamphetamine.
Keith Lay was charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
