LONDON, KY — Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's drug interdiction unit Justin Taylor arrested Christopher Shane Miles age 43 of Lily, on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at approximately 9:33 PM.
The arrest occurred on Hopper Creek Road, approximately 10 miles southeast of London at a highway traffic safety checkpoint after this subject was found in possession of:
- A large amount of suspected methamphetamine
- Digital scales
- Hypodermic syringes
- THC capsules
In addition two handguns were located. Also it was determined that this subject was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Christopher Miles was charged with:
- Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
In addition, this subject was charged on a Knox District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Failure to appear in court
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
