LONDON, KY -- Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Taylor McDaniel arrested Donald Johnson, age 36, of London on Saturday night July 5, 2025 at approximately 11:25 PM.
The arrest occurred on Glenview Road, approximately 4 miles north of London after Sgt. McDaniel observed this subject running down N. Laurel Rd. along the roadway. Sgt. McDaniel made contact with the male subject and noted observing him to have bloodshot glassy eyes, and slurred speech and was determined to be under the influence.
This individual was found in possession of a small plastic bag of suspected methamphetamine and was placed under arrest.
Donald Johnson was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
