MANCHESTER, KY -- Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on Monday, July 7, 2025 Deputy Dustin Henson responded to a call from Clay County Dispatch of a reckless driver on Hal Rogers Parkway traveling east approximately 2 miles from the Manchester exit.
Upon approaching the eastbound vehicle Deputy Henson observed the driver swerving left and right crossing the double yellow lines and the white line while traveling on the parkway.
Upon conducting a traffic stop, Deputy Henson approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver, who had very slurred speech and glossy eyes.
Deputy Henson asked the driver, identified as Charles Bowling, age 50, of Bowling Green, KY to step out of the vehicle to perform SFST’s, while stepping out Bowling had trouble keeping his balance and had to stop himself from falling by grabbing the vehicle. This subject was taken into custody at that time.
Charles Bowling was arrested for:
