More than $2 million in bridge repair projects awarded

Deck restoration, waterproofing for many contracts

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Oct. 11, 2013)More than $2 million in bridge repair projects were awarded recently by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

The seven projects, which are in six counties across the state, include:


  • Carroll County
    – Steel repairs for a bridge over Kentucky River on Interstate 71. Judy C. Harp Co. was awarded the contract for $137,908. Completion date: Dec. 15, 2013.
  • Carter County – Deck restoration and waterproofing for a bridge over Grassy Creek on KY 1773. M&M Services Co. was awarded the contract for $242,283. Completion date: Nov. 15, 2013.
  • Floyd County – Deck restoration and waterproofing for a bridge over Levisa Fork and County Route 1112 on KY 2557. M&M Services Co. was awarded the contract for $193,053. Completion date: Nov. 15, 2013.
  • Jefferson County – Deck overlay for a bridge over the CSX railroad on the Outer Loop (KY 1065). Hall Contracting of Kentucky was awarded the contract for $679,109. Completion date: July 31, 2014.
  • Nicholas County – Deck restoration and waterproofing for a bridge over McBride Creek on KY 386. M&M Services Co. was awarded the contract for $137,579. Completion date: Nov. 15, 2013.
  • Perry County – Two contracts awarded.

o   Painting and cleaning for a bridge on Old KY 15 (KY 15X) over the CSX railroad. Elite Contractors was awarded the contract for $468,750. Completion date: July 31, 2014.

o   Deck restoration and waterproofing for a bridge over Leatherwood Creek on KY 699. M&M Services Co. was awarded the contract for $243,985. Completion date: Nov. 15, 2013.
