Larue County Mayor & City Clerk Arrested

(Larue County, KY) -- On December 16, 2103 The Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement / Special Investigations West Branch presented an ongoing financial investigation to the Larue County Grand Jury regarding Hodgenville Mayor Terry Cruse and City Clerk Madonna Hornback.

The Grand Jury returned an indictment on Mayor Terry Cruse for Abuse of Public Trust (9 counts), Theft by Unlawful Taking, Campaign Contribution Restrictions / Expenditures Limits (2 counts), and Forgery 2nd Degree. The Grand Jury Returned an indictment on City Clerk Madonna Hornback for Abuse of Public Trust (54 Counts) and Theft by Unlawful Taking.

On December 17, 2013 both Cruse and Hornback were arrested by The Larue County Sheriff's Department and were lodged in the Larue County Detention Center. Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement / Special Investigations West Branch was assisted by Kentucky State Police Post 4 and the Larue County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office. The investigation continues and no further information is being released.
