Lake Cumberland State Resort Park Celebrates 90th Anniversary of the Kentucky State Parks

JAMESTOWN, Ky. -- Lake Cumberland State Resort Park will celebrate the 90th anniversary of Kentucky State Parks on Friday, June 20, with a seafood buffet.

This will be the first seafood buffet of the year in the renovated Rowena Landing Restaurant.  The park’s new executive chef, Josh Ogden, will be cooking everyone’s favorite seafood from 5-9 p.m.

The buffet will include Southwest grilled salmon with fire-roasted corn and black bean salsa with a chipotle butter, crab legs, peel-and-eat shrimp, oysters on the half shell, fried catfish, pan-fried red snapper, fried oyster seafood pasta, soup and salad bar and an assortment of vegetables and desserts.

The buffet is $23.95 for adults, $12.95 for children ages 6-12 and children 5 and under are free.

WUHU radio will be having activities for the kids from 1-5 p.m. on the lodge patio. Guests can register to win a free weekend getaway at the park.

Lake Cumberland State Resort Park and many other state parks are holding special events to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Kentucky State Parks, founded in 1924.
