BLS DATA - May 2014 "VA Office of Economic Opportunity"

By Curtis L. Coy

Colleagues and Fellow Veterans, As with the first Friday of every month, the BLS employment statistics were released today. Attached is our ‘cheat sheet’ for your use and information. On this 70th Anniversary of the D-Day Normandy landing, the bottom line is; National unemployment remained unchanged at 6.3% while the *Veteran unemployment numbers went from 5.6% to 5.0%.*

While I don't 'editorialize' on these reports, this month's Veteran unemployment drop is significant. Thanks to all of you who are working directly or indirectly, to ensure our Veterans have meaningful employment.
