Alcohol Suspected Factor In Fatal ATV Crash / Clay County

(LONDON, KY.) – On Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at approximately 7:59 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11 London, received a report of fatal ATV crash on KY 1524 in Clay County.

Upon arrival Trooper Josh Wilson determined that a 1994 Honda 200 TRX ATV, operated by Wanda S. Henson, 48, of Goose Rock, KY was traveling eastbound when she lost control of the ATV, ran off the roadway and overturned in yard across from the Goose Rock Elementary School.

Henson was ejected from the ATV and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clay County Coroner’s Office.

Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash.

Trooper Wilson is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Lockhards Creek Fire Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Clay County EMS.
