More drug arrests related to earlier arrests at a Laurel County motel

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Jason Back along with Detective James Sizemore arrested two individuals near London following a continuing drug investigation related to 2 earlier arrests that occurred at a motel in southern Laurel County where Bradley Roberts and Stephen Jewell were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Detectives and deputies arrested two subjects near a motel in London – The driver of a silver colored Pontiac Grand Am stated he had snorted methamphetamine and drank alcohol earlier.

Arrested was Michael Johnson age 27 of Hicks Lane, London charged with possession of a controlled substance first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; and numerous other traffic violations.

Also arrested was Carl Charboneau age 36 of Farley Road, East Bernstadt charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine and resisting arrest – following a short scuffle with this subject, he was taken into custody.

Assisting on the investigation and arrest were Sgt. Robbie Grimes, Sgt. Brett Reeves, Detective Josh Scott, Deputy Tyler Morris, Deputy Larry Parrott, Deputy John Inman, Deputy Kevin Berry, and Deputy Tommy Houston.

Also assisting was KSP/ CVE officer Landry Collett. Both subjects were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
