WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST THURSDAY

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN KENTUCKY.

DAY ONE...TONIGHT

SNOW IS EXPECTED FOR SOUTHERN AND SOUTHEASTERN PARTS OF THE AREA WHERE GENERALLY ONE TO TWO INCHES OF ACCUMULATION WILL BE POSSIBLE...WITH EVEN HIGHER AMOUNTS ON THE RIDGES NEAR THE VIRGINIA BORDER.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

SNOW IS POSSIBLE FROM THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. AN ADDITIONAL INCH OF ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE IN SOME AREAS.

SNOW WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING.

A MIXTURE OF WINTER WEATHER WILL BE POSSIBLE MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING.

THE EXTENDED FORECAST INDICATES THE POTENTIAL FOR A WARM UP AND A PROLONGED RAINFALL EVENT LATE IN THE WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. SHOULD THIS COME TO PASS...THE RAIN...IN ADDITION TO MELTING SNOW PACK...WOULD INCREASE THE RISK FOR FLOODING.

SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT

SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO CALL IN THEIR SNOW REPORTS TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY.
