House Resolution 197 approved unanimously in Democrat controlled House

FRANKFORT, Ky. (February 26, 2014) – House Republican Floor Leader Jeff Hoover, R-Jamestown, presented a resolution that was approved in the Democrat controlled Kentucky House of Representatives which condemns President Barack Obama’s veto of the Keystone XL pipeline legislation.

“The sand oil fields in Western Canada offer the United States a way to become less dependent on countries in the Middle East, while creating more than 42,000 jobs during its two-year construction,” said Leader Hoover. “It’s clear President Obama’s veto of this legislation earlier this week was short sided and based on playing partisan games. I am proud this resolution enjoyed bipartisan support.”

House Resolution 197 was approved unanimously by the House of Representatives, which directs a copy of the resolution be mailed to President Obama at the White House.
