Stolen vehicles recovered in Laurel County - Police asking public's help locating suspects

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Shawn Boroviak along with Deputy John Inman investigated an abandoned vehicle that was discovered by a concerned citizen at the end of Boggs Lane off Slate Ridge Road, approximately 7 miles south of London on Wednesday morning March 4, 2015 at approximately 11:30 A.M..

When deputies arrived at the scene they found a 93 Dodge ram pickup and a Jeep grand Cherokee on blocks and following an investigation, deputies determined that the vehicle had been reported as stolen earlier Wednesday morning at approximately 7:30 A.M. from a motel parking lot in southern Laurel County.

The owners of the vehicle were determined to be from Sumter and Manning, South Carolina and had been traveling from Lexington to South Carolina.

Deputies noted that the wheels, tires, batteries, some tools in the vehicles, and an air compressor had been removed from the stolen vehicles and the stolen vehicles left behind on blocks at the end of Boggs lane.

In addition, a trailer that had been hauling the Jeep Cherokee was also still missing.
